I remember when they introduced the Correct-A-Chip--intended for
applicationwhen your PCB layout guy was suffering the morning after
the night before and reversed the pins on an IC.
BTW, the Landmark ROM POST for the PC and XT used to use one of these
to adapt a 2764 to the 24-pin ROM configuration in the 5150. It has
a small slide swich on it to switch between 24 and 28 pins (when you
used it in a 5150, you let 4 pins hang over the edge of the socket).
