There's a small recessed metal panel
on one end with power and data connectors plus a fuse and a toggle
switch.

Otherwise the exterior is smooth wood with a
leather carry
handle.

Cups on this A model are some sort of hard rubber
material
rather than foam and are quite intact.
The foam lines the interior of the lid.

But there is a nasty chip out of the rim of the lid:

With a more careful look, I think that there might have once been a prop
that fit into a groove there.
And, I just noticed that it is missing one of the rubber feet!!

If those are deal-breakers for esthetically sensitive collectors, then
maybe some of the people who made offers might want to reconsider.
Keystone makes some rubber feet/bumpers that may work as replacements
(720, 721, or 722). Original rubber bumpers commonly dry rot, crumble, and
fall off of all sorts of equipment so a missing rubber bumper on something
this old really isn't all that unexpected.
