50mhz, or 20ns; each state is
one clock and on average
an instruction is 3 states. I calculated 10mips. it seems to boot
much faster than my 11/44 :-)

I'm not sure what 50 mhz is, but 50 mHz would have a cycle
time of 20
seconds. Sorry, once again I'm being overly pedantic, as it was obvious
that you really meant 50 MHz.
Anyhow, I'm quite impressed with your project. I happen to have the
same Digilent board with the 3S1000, so I plan to hook up an IDE drive
and try it out. Thanks for making it available!
