But that's telephoto, not telefacsimile. I don't know what separates the
technologies, but telephoto was/is mainly a newspaper and news bureau
application. As for when the fax was first introduced, any takers?
Bell Labs has a history web page that has 1925 as the first public
demonstration of a fax.
