Either they have a time machine or the arch?ological discovery of all
time, then.
But seriously folks... They /might/ be on to something, inasmuch as
the simplest route I could see is to test multiple optical disks that
are failing from age, work out what makes them fail and replace those
elements with ones that do not suffer from the same failure modes.
However, this might, of course, merely expose other, different failure
modes... :?)
