been running one 11/83 like that
for the last two years until today actually, when I upgraded to 4 megs. :-)
3 megs "unusual"? Hah! ;-)
I completely agree with you, actually. It's just that DEC sold
microPDP-11 systems as standard with memories in exact powers of 2.
I've run systems with even more "unusual" amounts, according to what
random selection of memory cards I had at the time. I should definitely
have put "unusual" in quotes :-)
