It has had the consequence however, that the modifications Rik Bos made in
his
9830 tape drives were unnecessary and the article
he wrote up about it is
itself
largely in error because it was based on a false
premise.
Are you enjoying yourself ?
As far as I can see you're right about the 18k2 resistor, but there is more.
He is... It is an error on my diagram.
If you buy the CD-ROM from HPCC there is a disclaimer in one of the text
files on it that points out that I am offerign these diagrams in good
faith but that I would be _very_ suprised if there were no errors. And
that I want to be informed of errors or different versions that have been
found.
And plese don;'t tell me that you have never found a similar error -- or
worse -- in a commerical service manual. If so, I owuld have to conclude
that you have never looked at a commercial service manual.
Having done a lot of modifications and repairs over the years I _always_
verify that the scheamtic I have and the board I have actually agree.
And about Tony, he did a lot of work making the
diagrams available for
everybody ..
Thank you.
Everybody makes an error ones in a while I do, Tony does, and you??
Put it this way. If I had a pound (or dollar) for every mistake I've
ever made I would be a very rich man :-)
I have met people who never make mistakes. They never do anything at all.
