It has had the consequence however, that the modifications Rik Bos made in

9830 tape drives were unnecessary and the article
he wrote up about it is
itself
largely in error because it was based on a false
premise.

As far as I can see you're right about the 18k2 resistor, but there is more. And about Tony, he did a lot of work making the
diagrams available for
everybody ..

Put it this way. If I had a pound (or dollar) for every mistake I've
ever made I would be a very rich man :-)
I have met people who never make mistakes. They never do anything at all.
