Thanks! I went back and added a shelf-by-shelf
rundown for the
pictures, let me know if you want more info :).
Thank you. Lots of things I
haven't seen before but quite a few I identified
correctly.
And wow! you have an Imlac!! does it work?
I do! And it's getting closer to working. When I got it last year it
needed a ton of work (it's had a rough life). You can read about the
"restoration" starting here:
http://rottedbits.blogspot.com/2013/05/an-introduction-to-imlac-pds-1.html.
It's been an education -- I have zero EE background so I'm learning as
I'm going. I'm pretty good at the digital side of things, not so great
at analog stuff. But it's fun to learn.
Currently working on either a) finding a replacement core plane for the
Dataram boardset (very unlikely) or b) building a more modern
replacement from SRAM. I'm working on (b) but have been very
sidetracked by other things as of late :). I'm also still keeping an
eye out for a real Imlac display for this thing (also very unlikely).
I'll probably end up using an off-the-shelf X/Y display or an old vector
arcade monitor once I get to that point.
