Were the
VT's compatible with keyboards for the Wyse terminals?
I've not looked at
the schematics, but I'd be amazed if they were
compatible in any way. There was/is very little inter-vendor
terminal keyboard compatibility.
The memory is very hazy, but didn't the VT-100 use a quarter-inch phone
plug for its mechanical interface? I think it was just like a 1/4"

No, it was the standard 3-conductor one. As used on headphones, etc. I
seem to rememebr the 3 conenctions were power (12V?), signal
(bidirectional) and ground
For the purists, it's an A-guage plug, that is the tip is the same
diameter as the other 2 contacts. a B-guage plug (often known as a Plug
316 over hewre) has a smaller tip (3/16" diameter?).
