Were the
VT's compatible with keyboards for the Wyse terminals?
I've not looked at
the schematics, but I'd be amazed if they were
compatible in any way. There was/is very little inter-vendor
terminal keyboard compatibility. stereo audio plug except that it had two ring contacts
(tip, ring,
ring, sleeve rather than the usual audio tip, ring, sleeve)....
No, it was the standard 3-conductor one. As used on headphones, etc. I
seem to rememebr the 3 conenctions were power (12V?), signal
(bidirectional) and ground
For the purists, it's an A-guage plug, that is the tip is the same
diameter as the other 2 contacts. a B-guage plug (often known as a Plug
316 over hewre) has a smaller tip (3/16" diameter?).
