There may
be some boot PROM commands to get that information, maybe
"show conf". (It is to long ago that I played with a VS3k1.) At least
you can see it by physical inspection: The mono frame buffer is on the
main PCB. GPX or SPX are mezzanine plug in cards sitting on top of the
main PCB, maybe 20x25 cm^2 in size. Don't confuse it with RAM options.
These are mezzanine plug in cards too, but they are only about 10x20
cm^2 and they are aligned to the front of the machine. The framebuffer
is aligned in the middle / a bit to the back.
