Well, if you're going to build a blinkenlights
functioning replica - go all
the way and do an IBM 360/70.
S/360 model 91 is the one to do (I assume you do not mean S/360 model
70). That is the one with the astounding number of lights.
Rememberm if you do a replica, be sure to include the sound of many
fans...
