So I'll happily read about differnt ways to
design a particular circuit,
or how to use machine tools, or OS internals. Or optical design, clock
escapements, camera shtuter dseign. But I am not going to take up
hang-gliding....
Out of personal experience I can only recommend that particular activity.
Beats flying in any plane hands down. That kind of outdoor activity complements very good
with techical thinkering, at least in
my experience.
Currently hacking Lilith's microcode so it uses an IDE disk...
O nthe other hand, that sounds very enjoyable...
