If you want good key action, check out the old XT and
AT/ PS/2 REAL IBM
keyboards for the keyswitches :)
Click, click, clack...provided that can stand that noise.
Very reliable till someone spills in something wet, you're SOL.
Check out hall-effect keyswitches such as found on toshiba T1960
series. I had both notebooks apart. Cool!
