Minicom shows readable text output at 9600 7M1!!!! Cutcom wont do that.
It only dumps hex in different layouts... Maybe the portsettings could
not work with cutecom....

myself on a linux box (because it's a terminal application), which
also has all the needed settings needed in this case.
