Actually it might be nice to build a list of such
70's era products that
(non-obviously) contain embedded microprocessors.
There was a TNS1000 microcontroller that had been masked-programmed to
play 1 of about 20 different tunes. In the mid 1970s there was a rash of
doorbells using that chip, both as commercial items and as magazine
projects. At least one of the latter was called the 'Microchime' from
what I remmeber.
