I don't
think so. It was designed for the Amigo computer, AKA HP-300,
which is why it's called Amigo protocol.
That's news to me! The docs that I have all indicate that it was written
for the floppy drives.

I was flipping through the "HP 9000 Device I/O Users Guide" today and
saw reference to HPIB printers that used the AMIGO protocol! This blew
me away. I always thought the protocol was strictly for disk drives
(hard & floppy) but, apparently it was broader than that.
BTW: The DOCS don't indicate which specific printers.
