AFAIK, this serial port is bitbanged...but I don't have that much info. If you
wish, I have the schematics of the mainboard :)
It is indeed (it's using a similar technique to a lot of cheap serial
port PIC programmers), but my question is more because CTS is usually
fixed as an input on serial ports. It looks like it's driving the CLK
line on the SD card here, which I find puzzling.
I wouldn't mind taking a gander at the Dreamcast schematics, though.
