Well, yes, that's true. The idea of making a modern board without
any plated-through holes is a bit absurd.
A board with no plated-through holes is cheaper than a
board with
all plated-through. The plating is an extra manufacturing step.
Yes, it's an extra step. Yes, I'm going to do it. Even the Quest Elf from
twenty years ago had plated through holes.
