WARNING: it
seems not all of these adapters are created equal
That's for sure, I have two
adapters to use regular high-density VGA cables
with the Mac DB-15(which has been known to get mixed up when an ethernet
card is nearby...), the one that came with my Apple monitor worked fine,
but some cheapy thing really distorted the screen, ot the point where the
monitor was almost impossible to use...
As for the monitor in question, it's a relativley normal VGA monitor with
an Apple plug. Won't work with the IIgs, it needs a IIgs monitor that has a
sync rate about half that of VGA monitors. But it will work fine for a
Mac(or PC with a VGA card).
Its good to know that at least I can use this monitor on a PC with ahome-made
adapter..
I guess I will keep it around, never know when I will stumble across
a Mac that needs this type of monitor.. I only paid $9.99 at the
local Goodwill store for it so its no big loss..
My Thanks to Aron and Zane for the great Web sites on the Mac
monitor.. I book marked'em for future reference..
