I am one of many who has had a lifetime of fixing things and dont have
a degree.
I see all job adverts theses days start of with requisites that
immediately give me no chance (outlook). It is depressing,
Missing from most education in my experience is fault finding and this
is essential for this job.
Also this requires some conservation knowledge, I saw no mention of
this, some objects can be preserved for longer by not being used and
others are better preserved by use.
Its a dream job if it was nearer though.
