As I remember the correct cable also includes an 8 pin keyboard connector.
Does anyone else remember?

Check the monitor and system box chapters in the Pro technical manual,
volume 1, in Bitsavers.
I suspect it's straight through. But the video (in the real cable at
least) probably is carried over 75 ohm coax, not plain wire.
