SCA 80 pin has a lot of adaptors to go to/from 68 pin.
I even have an old
Apple system using an SCA drive on a 50 pin bus via an adaptor PCB. If
using SCA, key point to remember is that power is inside the 80 pin
connector. SCA drives don't normally have the legacy 4 pin Molex power
connector.
I have one or two drives like that, with nothing but the 80-pin connector,
and the last time I looked (not at all recently) there seemed to be quite a
number of them offered as surplus. However, the adapters I was finding
online at that point in time were priced in such a way to make those drives
not a very good deal...
At some point perhaps I'll luck out and get a hold of a box that's set up for
those drives, or something.
