My gosh, Windows was around ages ago in a real-mode version to compete with
IBM Topview. What I can't remember is if Windows 1.0 would run on an 8088
or if it required a 286. Why disqualify anything that can run Windows, but
include things that will run Gem?
I think I said "Windows 95 or better," which means Windows 1.0, 2.x and
3.x are (should be?) on topic.
