Not likely even in my mind, but the NEC APC utilized both a WD FDC and the 765 via an
aftermarket add on. I originally wanted to state that the stock unit had both, but I'd
really have to check on that. That part # is 8665. Rockwell used the house # 6765 for
their 765 clone. Intels wasx 1272 or 1772 oi I just woke up.
This much I do know. The APC comes w/8" drives and utilizes a 765. The aftermarket
board which allows for 5 1/4" drives has a WD chip. Go figure.
