Please terminate this thread as of midnight 1/19/2007. Any posts pouring gas on the flames of this post after that time will result in 2 week ban from the list. It has been posted here publicly by someone (as well as privately, perhaps by someone else) that they don't see why I allowed Sellam's post to the list in the first place. Let me clear that up by stating that Sellam never technically unsubscribed from the list, instead he set the "no mail" flag on his account. This means that he would not receive any list traffic, but as far as the list software is concerned he was still a member. This setting is built into the list software and is typically used by people going on vacation, changing email accounts, etc. As a result, his post was immediately accepted and dispersed without any moderation required. If it HAD been flagged for moderation, I'm quite sure I would have emailed Sellam privately off-list first and asked him to tone it down a bit. Jay
