How do you finance/afford your computer collection?

  I'm
interested in hearing how others on this list afford to maintain and  expand their
collections. Especially people like John R. Keys. 
The problem is not cost, but rather time to play with this stuff and space
to keep it. Generally speaking, I have been given (and continue to be given)
quite a bit of stuff so acquiring is not the problem. I don't rent a storage
space, but rather keep everything here at the
house/garage/backporch/backyard/...
