While I understand the sentiment, I'd like to point out that my
text-mode, terminal-based VAX (Headless VAXstation 3100 M38) runs a
modern (1998), internet capable OS: OpenVMS v7.2. Granted, I'm stuck
in text mode, but it handles basic internet connectivity like a champ,
and X-based, native, Internet applications are available for it. :-)
