What model of Lenovo laptop do you have? I have a Thinkpad T42 and it
still seems to do things at a reasonable speed and is still in once
piece. I doubt Windows 7 would be any good on it. I use Debian on it
instead.
Mine is a V570. Core i5 (dual core) at 2.5GHz, 6GB of RAM stock.
Running Linux, it positively screams, even when doing big compiles.
What made you pick that line as opposed to, say, any of the Thinkpad
models?
