Yeah, I saw one of those bastards roaming around my office as well, but
I don't think I successfully smushed it. I've heard that they eat paper
too but I haven't seen any damage in particular that I can attribute to
one (or a colony) of them.
They move very fast, and seem to be very tough to kill. They really do eat
anything made of paper, and they can do major damage to stuff. Their
damage looks similar to what a common roach will do to paper.
If you see one, you probably have a good sized colony somewhere...
