Jonas, when you call people rude, and call them names, in public,
while claiming neutrality, and without account for what's going on,
you just create another division and you become exactly what you
criticise.
By all means
say what is wrong or right in someone's schematic, but
please keep the personal attacks out of it.

+1 Agreed!
OK, Tony seems to push the buttons of a few people on here who
don't get his particular brand of humour/irony and are also not
willing to consider his circumstances and cut him any slack, but
IMO this particular personal attack is almost completely
unjustified. I'm actually quite surprised since it seems out of
character for my left-coast fellow Canuck, for whom I've always had
a great deal of respect until this childish rant/personal attack; I
hope he's OK...
Maybe I'm a little short on patience at the moment, Mike, but you
might have to consider that my responses are justified. I'd say I've
been pretty patient over 10 years of it on the list. One of the
points I was making was to keep things to technical matters.
Unfortunately, human relations are inherently involved, and sometimes
it becomes warranted to respond to such, acrimonious as it might be,
when you're the one on the receiving end (repeatedly) of the 'button-
pushing' as you put it. As I've said, I've tried to avoid engaging in
this sort of mess over the years. Others have been driven off the
list. And then having to deal with the attacks from people who can't
be bothered to give a balanced reading, misinterpret or misrepresent
what I've written, and react only to what they don't like. I thought
I had been explaining my position along the way and being pretty fair
about it, but to see that you might have to pay attention to the
nuances of the discussion.
I'd say I've been pretty fair to Tony, but I'm not about to patronise
him. There are plenty of people on the list who do that. It's
tiresome watching people such as yourself make excuses for him and
"cut him slack" and then proceed to beat up on the individual who was
trying to be reasonable about it and was actually the 'aggrieved
party'. Knowing the list, I predicted that would happen, although not
from you.
And as I also said (it gets tiresome having to repeat oneself) near
the beginning of this mess, it's all been a nuisance. I'd like to get
back to useful work.
