How to read HP serial numbers, in case you are
interested:

Can this thing be used as a general purpose reader, if I hack together an
interface? The HP interface looks special.
There should be five-digit product IDs on each of
those cards, most
likely of the form 12ddda, where the "d"s are digits and the "a" is
an
alpha character. Those would help me when I have the manuals handy.
Might even help me figure out which ones to pull.
I did not see any numbers like that.
How about 02100-60083
B-1410-22
or 02100-60054?
