At least they belatedly realized how mind-bogglingly stupid it had been to
make their own floppy drives, and switched to Sony.
But none of the others had that extra thumb slot like the Lisa Twiggy,
that made it so much easier to fingerprint your disks.
Besides, using off-the-shelf "standardized" components would open the way
for after-market peripherals!! Jobs wan't a SEALED machine, not an open
one. The velcro lid, and ease of making cards and peripherals, of the ][
had been Woz' idea.
