But that's not quite what I was wondering...
What if the FP box *IS* attached, but the power interconnect (the power
cable between cpu and ffp) cable isn't? This means the ribbon cable is
connected, and the fpu is powered on, and then the cpu is powered on. Will
this work... or is there some mechanism on the power side of the FPP unit
that it will not come on unless the power interconnect cable is on too? I
don't know how this works.
