"Might" being the operative word.
Now a PDP-1 would certainly be worth 100KUS$,
...to a collector who had US$100K to throw away and absolutely HAS to have
the first PDP-1 he comes across or else he'll die, no exceptions.
I can't think of any such collector that exists.
There are collectors out there like Mr. Allen paying
big dollars for
not so rare machines...
The particular frenzy you are referring to bombed out with the stock
market.
I think you misread the message, but I just wanted to dispel the myths you
forwarded :)
