Au contraire! In my work we are finding a lot of interest in
running Linux on PPC embedded boards such as the IBM 405 (aka
"walnut"). There's some interest in ARM too.
I believe there is a NetBSD walnut port underway, and NetBSD is quite
stable on both 26- and 32-bit ARMs (including the StrongARM).
