What version of Windows are you using? I have only tried using
VTserver a couple of times to connect to an 11/73 and my experience
was that I had problems that might have been similar to what you
describe when trying to use it on Windows XP, but it seemed to work ok
running it on a different system with Windows 98. That didn't
surprise me too much at the time as the internal architecture of the
com port code is completely different between those versions of
Windows, even if the application API is supposed to be the same.
