this is the scsi overland unit, which is pretty gentle with tapes which
may be old,
rather than trying to go a million miles an hour, like the bigger
cipers, etc.
Some others may be willing to take them and read them for him, which might
be better than trying to assemble a tape reading capability just for a
single
set of tapes.
