There were patches released to older versions of AIX and OpenVMS
specifically to deal with this tape drive. Newer versions of those OS's
should have the changes by default.

I've noticed this about the 8200. I've got a CMD card that talks to EX8200s
and so I tried it with two of the drives I have here.
