You don't want JPG for text. It'll have fuzzy edges, which isn't (afaict)
good for future OCR.
Right. JPEG is, as the name indicates, ONLY for photos. Not line art, not text, not
anything with edges. TIFF is always good. PNG is also generally a good choice.
