As far as I'm concerned VMS died when they fired the developers and

support to India.
Which was a very sad day as I have many friends from ZKO.
Today was a day we all knew were coming and all had hoped that it was a
long time in the future. I've been very fortunate that after leaving HP I
am now managing a complex, mission critical OpenVMS environment again which
has been a real buzz and it looks like I'll have a career bookended by
OpenVMS - starting on a VAX-11/780 over 30 years ago?
