They're just easier on my eyes, I find. LCDs give me a
headache after quite a short while, but I can look at a
(well-adjusted) CRT for much longer before it bothers me.
I'm not sure why - something to do with pixel aliasing,
perhaps.
You know, I have the same problem. I don't know what it is about LCD monitors, but
they do tend to induce headaches. CRT's never seem to bother me. I can stay up many
hours into the night staring into a VT100 in a dark room with no problems - but an hour of
using a laptop and I have a headache.
Glad that it isn't just me.
