I did finish an 2.11BSD and RT11 driver for the hardware years later,
but never went back at NetBSD.

I had the I/O address space kind of scrambled from the normal ATA
order. There was a problem with interrupt handling logic too.
I still appear to have all the code I wrote, in case that matters.
