Possibly wrong, but somewhere I got the impression that the DHZ is
not from Maynard etc. but was built by DEC in Aus or NZ maybe? And I have
an even hazier memory that it might have been bit-slice-based? Anyway it
definitely doesn't seem to pile up the way DHVs do, at least in the US.
