Really? Does that include "Macintosh SCSI"? Wasn't 250MB pretty
much standard on the Performas? The local recycler must have crushed
tons of the the things by now.

Performas seem to have switched to IDE before the higher up models did. When
is the last time you seen a 68K/nubus PPC Mac at a recycler anyway?
I see mostly P2/P3/P4 systems and the occasional beige g3 or newer at the
recyclers around here. Sometimes I get lucky and a few PS/2 systems or old
486 ThinkPads show up. If the recyclers had stacks of 68K macs I would be
thrilled.
