    If you said that that computer had "hardware
software" I would have
 to kill you ;-) 
 Firmware?   Yes.  That is the _CORRECT_ term.  Software is
not firmware.  My
 basic (no pun intended) objection in this discussion is that these
 are well defined engineering terms which are being corrupted by
 common ignorant use. 
Would you use "Firmware" to describe the plug boards of the old EAM, where
they were programmed by wiring?
