Vesta board used battery backed  static
  ram to begin with...  
    For the whole system memory, or just a protected
 area? 
 Yep, fwir. Don't have that issue in front of
me...I'll see it tomorrow, but yeah, no dynamic ram
*hassles* simplifies a design.
