Well, it depends...were the heatsinks factory installed or added to a
stock cpu? If it is a factory job, and you just want to identify the chip,
the markings on the bottom should suffice. Otherwise, many types of
thermal epoxy are evil and nearly impossible to remove without damaging
the cpu...
