I hope you're suggesting that's a good reason _to_ use them :-)
If not, what's insane about a graphics display system that fills an entire
6' rack, contains over 3000 DRAM chips (and about as many TTL devices to
control everything), and has a service manual that contains the wonderful
statement 'Repair the instrument using normal techniques. The supplied set
of Engineering Drawings may be of help'. That is the entire section on
maintenance and repair!
