I must admit, up until around the late '90's I used to be able to pick up
bargains on on computer stuff in some of the less, shall we say,
"salubrious" suburburban hock shops (mostly 8 bitters of all flavours),
simply by pointing out that they couldn't run Windows (hey at least I was
correct!), generally prices would then get marked down rather quickly :-)
Mind you, even an XT can run Windows 1.01........
