In the longest case of "classic attraction" I've experienced to date, I
have
finally aquired a programmer's console for my second oldest PDP-8, a PDP-8/a
I was given in 1984 (along with a job offer that turned into a 10-year
roller-coaster ride, but that's another story).
Does anyone have any cool toggle-in stuff to test -8/a peripherals in
particular? I have some stuff for the -8/L (cycle the lights, echo the
TTY, count, etc.), and it will all work on the -8/a (even if it looks
strange), but I'm interested in some front-panel system exercising to
test a stack of hex-width OMNIBUS boards I have.
